India calling: US job fair 2010

India undoubtedly is back on a high growth trajectory. In the last couple of years, it has emerged as a dominant player in the global economy with many multinationals investing into the sub-continent. Employers in India, world's second fastest growing economy, are leading the Asia-Pacific job market to meet their ever growing requirement for best possible talent globally. Indian firms have become increasingly competitive in international markets. With robust growth, more than 60% of Indian companies are on a hiring spree trying to lure the best of talent at most competitive salaries. As a result, India's heated economy is becoming lucrative for Indians in the western countries, a large chunk of who seem to already be thinking about a potential move back to India. To help more home-bound NRIs realize their aspiration of a job in India, Shine.com is organizing a two-day Job Fair each at New Jersey and Santa Clara which will bring recruiters from India and potential NRIs across the table for hiring. While similar job fairs have taken place before the recessionary pressures hit the world economy, this fair is the first since the markets recovered. The job fair is aptly titled India Calling - named so because of reverse migration as a trend picking up and many NRIs settled abroad realizing that the true calling of their career is back home again. As many as 60,000 Indian professionals working and settled abroad returned to India last year from the US. Shine's India Calling - US Job Fair 2010 will be an opportunity for experienced professionals working in the US to choose suitable assignments in India in the field of IT, R&D, Finance, Infrastructure, Retail and Business Development. With India and China recovering faster as economies while recessionary trails are still left over in the western ones, the job fair in US is slated to attract large sections of Indian population there. For recruiters it will be a great opportunity to bring home high quality talent and some big names like Amazon, RBS, Cap Gemini, IBM and Akamai have already lined up to participate in this event. Most of the recruiters are offering middle to senior level management profile and intend to hire NRIs in US for positions based out of top metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. The job fair is scheduled to take place at the Raritan Center in New Jersey on August 28 and 29 and at the Santa Clara Convention Center on September 3 and 4, 2010. This job fair will also provide an opportunity for NRIs to meet up with real estate consultants representatives from major educational institutes in India to facilitate relocation and ironing out procedures for their children's education needs back home. India Calling looks like an event well packaged to provide a complete career shift and relocation platform for NRIs.
